Davis Math Mastery™

For the visual learner, understanding and learning maths with traditional teaching methods can cause problems. Often, the words and symbols used to describe maths functions cause confusion and act as a barrier to learning. As with the Davis Dyslexia Correction Programme, the student is given the ability to control and correct their disorientation and then, using Symbol Mastery, works on the symbols and other triggers that cause confusion and disorientation. When the foundation concepts for understanding all mathematics are mastered, learning maths becomes easy.

The Math Mastery programme is designed to provide a foundation for ongoing improvement. In fact, most of the improvement will happen in the months following completion of the programme as the client better understands classroom teaching and is able to make progress in maths.

The Davis Math Mastery programme addresses:

Foundation concepts for understanding and learning maths
Numbers, numerals, quantities and counting
Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Telling and keeping track of time
Reading and using calendars
Sequencing and logic

For clients with other learning problems, it may be recommended that they complete a Davis Dyslexia Correction programme or a Davis Attention Mastery programme, prior to the Davis Maths Mastery Programme. The ideal approach will be fully discussed at the initial consultation.
